Trying to find a hot springs in New Mexico, June 2006:
So the directions I had to the not springs didn't help at all. When interweb directions fail, ask a local. So far on this trip locals have been nothing less than kind and helpful, which was the case here. After asking one tavern owner and one elderly hispanic man on a dirt road, i managed to find my way down a mile of dirt road through a side canyon to the rio grande at the bottom of its gorge. Cross and old iron bridge over the river and park. Then when I couldn't ride anymore, I parked and began to hike.. I came upon a rocked off puddle on the side of the river. Out of curiosity i put my hand in. Sure enough, it was over 100 degrees.
