Abbey at is orneriest.  Includes the Southwest, Appalachia, love story, tragedy, goat roast, cross country journey, Mozart and Waylon.  His second to last book published in 1988.  485 pages.  Recommended but not to the faint of heart.

  3. brandon, just finished desert solitare... i think after reading that, ive refound my love for the four corners area... and last time i was there was early june 2010 with 6 new friends and 3 other old ones... on bikes, cruising. hope youre well. fresno tonight. miss you.
